The First Trinzam Rinpoche Drubthob Dorje Gyaltsen was believed and considered to be an emanation of Vajrapani, and was also the direct disciple of the First Gyalwang Drukpa Drogon Tsangpa Gyare.

As predicted by his own meditational deity, Dorje Gyaltsen had been in very strict retreat for twelve years at a holy place known as Trinzam Dorje Drakzong, which was also believed to be blessed by Guru Padmasambhava. This was the place where Dorje Gyaltsen established his monastery, which was located in the Tsang province of Tibet.

After his parinirvana, Dorje Gyaltsen's next incarnation did not appear for a very long period, until he took rebirth as Dragom Dusum Sangye, from whom the successive reincarnations continued until the present and they are known as Trinzam Rinpoches.

The present Trinzam Rinpoche Tenzin Trinley Gyaltsen is the sixth incarnation. He was born in 1975, in Mysore, South India, neighboring the ancient heritage of Nagarjuna and Amravati where Lord Buddha bestowed the first Kalachakra empowerment.

His father is H.E. Drakseng Rinpoche and mother is Sherab Chodon. He was recognized at the age of five as the authentic reincarnation of the previous Trinzam Rinpoche. Under Dhorlop Kunchok, he studied the Tibetan language and basics of Buddhist rituals and practiced the Drukpa Lineage preliminary practices in his childhood. From his root guru, His Holiness the present Gyalwang Drukpa, he received the entire transmission and empowerment of the glorious Drukpa Lineage.

At the age of twenty-seven, under the guidance, kindness and precious instructions of His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa, he entered the traditional three-years-three-months' solitary retreat, during which he practiced the Six Yogas of Naropa and Mahamudra.

Rinpoche is naturally very serious about his daily practices, reciting mantras, praying and meditating, for the benefits of all beings.
